Opportunities: Burton works very hard to be the top company in Snowboarding and to create a corporation that people want to work for and work with. "Finding incredible opportunities is simply part of the atmosphere at Burton Snowboards" (Burton.com). The pursuit of adventure and seeing new things is what employees of Burton say is best about the culture of the company. Unlike most company's, every worker who is a part of Burton Snowboards is there because they want to be not because it is there day job. The company surrounds itself with people and other companies that share the same love and passion for snowboarding as they do. For some one like my self who shares the love for snowboarding, Burton creates a very appealing work environment. Strong or weak Identity: What was that thesis again? (Burton as a company has created a strong corporate identity putting stress on a relaxed environment and doing everything for the love of snow sports. Creating a great environment for its workers, Burton Snowboards has exploded to be the number one company in snowboarding and one of the top winter apparel suppliers around the world through its excellent advertising campaigns.) Burton has experienced many issues just like every other company has and has also had to make many tough business choices. Making these choices and working through issues that arise while still keeping a strong corporate identity and relationship among customers and business partners is tough but Burton has done this exceptionally well. Burton does have a strong corporate identity and this is closely related to the company becoming number one in snowboarding.
